Within range delivers a good picture,, convenient 9v battery clip and power supply. Cons: i dont like to tune the receiver like an AM radio. Id rather have a channel selector instead. I am assuming it uses a phase lock loop (PLL) circuit so having a fine tuning with a potentiometer accessible to the user is just to 1980's design. Other thoughts The camera is heavier than I thought (my bad I didn check the specs) but im happy with this unit and the price paid." My main drawback....you have to record onto VHS if you want to keep the video. It has only mono audio/video output. So far I found no way to go from vhs to my laptop. The inside range isnt that great as it lost signal as soon as I walked into the other room, out of the line of sight of the receiver. but IM sure outside in the open should be fine. The camera and everything works great and looks great but if you're running a 2.4ghz radio system in your car or plane, like me, the video signal is completely scrambled when you turn on the radio.
